Apologies for resurrecting this thread, just an update.
Firstly, many thanks for the kind words guys.
The two adults turned out to be a pair, the male of which mated with my now 16yr old female (elsewhere I may have said she was 17, my mistake my records show otherwise!).
Here's the female in question...
...and now the resultant eggs...
Now they are all numbered and weighed to record their progress.
Here's an update on that young one I pictured earlier in this thread too, eating well now and growing.

Thanks very much, I really hope that they incubate without problems, as I dearly want to holdback a baby or three from her. Although she looks in good health now, she is knocking on so you never know.
I'll shed a tear when she goes, she is the only one left from the first 4 (three of which died along with two other newer Laddersnake additions due to an electrical fire), all the same age, I had that are responsible for me keeping snakes at all. I digress, sorry.
I forgot to add the details, here goes.
12/06/08 Courtship finally observed after many previous introductions, the male was one of the young pair that I bought off Roger Butler from this thread.
I'm assuming/hope that I missed them copulating prior to this date.
Several more introductions followed, some more copulation was witnessed.
22/06/08 Blue.
29/07/08 Pre-lay slough.
11/07/08 Laid 11 eggs, at 07:00 BST 6 were laid, on my return from work at around 5.30pm, the rest had been laid.
Some more eggzact (well to the nearest 5mm anyway) measurements and accompanying pictures.... measured 15/7/08.
1. 5cm x 3cm 28g
2. 6cm x 3cm 30g
3. 5cm x 3cm 30g
4. 5cm x 3cm 31g
5. 5.5cm x 3cm 32g
6. 5cm x 3cm 29g
7. 5cm x 3cm 28g
8. 6cm x 3cm 31g
9. 5cm x 3cm 29g
10. 5.5 x 3cm 31g
11. 5cm x 3cm 28g
And the numbered eggs for a visual reference.

I'll certainly keep you posted on their progress Tom, I'm afraid it looks like they are all but spoken for, swapping bloodlines to other scalaris keepers rather than selling. So hopefully they'll be more of them in the future. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

Quite cheap outside of pet shops, they won't break the bank, as there isn't much call for them. Apart from a few keepers interested in European snakes, not many are produced nowadays, once upon a time in a land far far away... they were quite common, then again, availability of snakes wasn't as abundant as they are now (when I was a lad etc and so forth).
I guess the market is more geared towards the obviously attractive snakes, nothing wrong with them mind, I always seem to go with subtle and hissy though! _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

oh ok cheers mate. i think they are attractive, hatchlings are more attractive than adults, but both are stunning in their own right.
maybe someone could produce a strain of them that stay in hatchling colouration permanently, then they would be more popular _________________ Tom
