My female Uro is not eating, i got her from Hamm and she was skinny to begin with but the largest of her family, when we got back she ate all her salad everyday and was starting to put on weight, now she will not touch her salads at all, i have tried many different types of greens as well as tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, apple, peach, banana, sesame seeds and dandelions. coated and uncoated with Uro dust a herb calcium . . .
All of this she will now not eat!, Then only thing she will occasionally eat is super/morio worms!!!!, and they are herbivores so this isn't great , i have also tried her with locusts, black + brown crickets, wax worms, and pinkies and no luck,
she has the correct heating temps and a basking spot of just short of 132.
Does anyone have any advice at all on what to do, i don't want to loose her as she is a stunner and is now starting to calm down. She is 7 months old btw.
Thanks for any replies!!!
sorry wrong area, pleas move 2 'general' _________________ Curently Keeping:

I've moved this into the general lizards section as you'll probably get a better response here
Plus have you also tried lentils? _________________ Regards James Stroud |

If you've never done it yourself your easiest and safest bet would be to go see a vet. Failing that any reptile shop should be able to help you out. I'd do this first off with any animal I bought from Hamm, just in case Good luck and let us know how it gets on _________________ Regards James Stroud |

The first thing i would do is bath her (in warm water to keep body temps up).Uros dehydrate very quickly when off food but bathing can make a big difference-you can see them absorb the water like sponges. This often perks them up and stimulates feeding. |

ah thats brilliant, never heard that about baths, i went 2 a farm yesterday and brought 4 different types of seeds, green lentils, watercress, mustard cress, bean sprout, rocket salad, mustard cress. Then i got to the flat and she had eaten a little of her salad, i have given her the new salad today so hopefully she will whop it down, if not then i will bath her 2Mora morning and see if that helps also.
Thanks a lot for all the help guys!!! _________________ Curently Keeping:
