|
|
Finally I got round to posting up pics of the new yemen viv that me and my dad built for my 2 year old male yemen. It is 6ft tall and 2ft wide and 2ft deep. Dome light fitting at the top in the middle for heat and a reptisun 10/0 tube along the inside of the front above the glass. Dripper on top poking through a hole into the viv. We sorted drainage by getting a tray and adding a plughole to it with a pipe to send it into a bucket in the bottom compartment. It may look like it's wet inside the bottom but its just the flash reflection from the varnish on the joints. Ventilation is a strip of mesh on the front and then on the roof there are 2 more strips.
Decor is garden trelis up the sides and the back and then branches wedged all over the place and then one huge pothos fills the rest. There are like 4 yellowed leaves at the bottom which I have to remove tonight (when he's asleep )
The plastic tub is his feeding pot.
Lemme know what you think...

That's awesome, really nice! Would look great in any living room I reckon.
The trellis is a good idea too, nice notches to wedge branches into heh _________________ Steve P |

My guy seems to like the bigger ones like that to be honest, in his old tank he had thinner ones but it was like he didn't like his toes to meet around the branch if you see what I mean , so he didn't really go on them. |

Yeah there is that but I liked the idea because it just makes so much more for him to climb around on - now he can use the walls like a crestie |
