Just got home and found this guy in my garden, as you can see it is varying shades of brown and has some impressive - looking eyespots at the head end.
I'd say it was about 3 inches total length does anyone know what it is? my guess is some kind of hawkmoth but i'm no expert. |

Oooh I know this one, Elephant Hawk Moth. Well the caterpillar turns into that anyway. |
