|
|
Hi folks, just need a little advice, I recently acquired a female albino chacoan horned. She seems generally fit and well, is as lazy as i was told to expect (although she certainly shifts when she thinks
i'm going to pick her up!
Despite this she seems very reluctant to feed; shes eaten about three crickets in the week shes been with me and by the time she'd got them all the supplement had washed off! Her viv temp is fine and its nice and humid, she has access to a pool and somewhere to hide.
Can anyone give me any ideas whats wrong? |

Are you just putting the crickets in and letting her catch them by herself?
I always prefer to offer Ceratophrys their food by tongs / tweezers she will take very little persuading to take food this way. _________________ Andrew Tillson-Willis

I have a couple of young albinos, they show no interest in crickets, but like Andrew say's they are happy to take dead pinks from tongs. _________________

I'm ending up having to dust her food and leave it in for her to eat at will, she does eventually eat it but im worried about the amount of supplement shes getting and the risk of impaction! I have tried feeding her from tongs but she is very reluctant, done it twice but most times she just moves away! |
