Hi dantro,
Great little lizards are'nt they.Very unique in many ways and i love it when they vocalise
Relatively easy to keep really (must be if i can keep 'em ).
I got my original two around one year ago and they've well grown into stocky little blighters.I pondered over gettin these for many years and i'm well glad i finally went ahead and got some.
They are quite secretive and this suits me perfectly as i'm not one for over handling/fussing any of my herps.Seems they're quite happy being left to there own devices and tend to be nocturnally active mainly.
I personally don't think they're too expensive relatively speaking, and usually sell at around the £70-£90each retail.
Hope this helps..........RGDS...AL _________________ if you like something buy it,if you don't then don't |

Those little guys look very cool, i can see how they get there name. What sort of set up are they in as im not familiar with skinks needs and where did you get them from? _________________ 0.0.1 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Crested Gecko) |

Hi Dan W,
They are real little dinosaurs and like you said they defo suit their name
These are the only lizards i keep and find them quite easy to cater for to be honest. There's some excellent info on deanos site www.tribolonotus.com
To give you an idea of how i keep mine, heres some pics of my set up and a temp set up for the 3 new ones as they settle in.
I got mine from Mark at the Reptile Room.
hope this helps........RGDS.AL _________________ if you like something buy it,if you don't then don't |

Thanks Stu They're proper armour plated mate I've heard them referred to (mainly in the U.S.) as casque headed skinks in the past

Cheers lol93,
I'm hoping the new ones are 1.2 and will eventually form a poss breeding group along with my original 1.1(?).
I'm certainly up for the challenge at least
