I keep mine in the tall Faunerums with the little mouse bottle hanging over the side. Ally keeps hers in he Fauneriums as well, but most of hers are in flat ones with the bottle hanging on the outside with a hole for the nozzel.

Hope that helps!

MB1 and RC1 are just catalog names from a certain manufacturer (who does not like their name online due to Animal Rights nutters tracking them down)

I use lab designed and manufactured caging, these can be bought second hand from www.reptileclassifieds.co.uk do a keyword search and you'll find some old ads.

I use Gabber cages, I get them from a local small pet shop but they are on ebay too, they're large you can have a big group in those.

And I use the ferplast mini dunas - and some cheap wires cages for growing on, from car boot sales. Very Happy

If it's bought food then yes it's hamster or gerbil, but these usually have way too many sunflower seeds, some have too much alfalfa to bulk it aswell.

I've started mixing my own now, going down a treat.

You can actually buy the food that is used in labs too, which is completely nutritionally balanced for mise. Though I can't say where from as I used to order mine from my local pet shop when I kept mice as pets and that is so long ago I can't remember the name of it. It is always best to use food that is specifically formulated for the animal you are keeping.

How many do you need to breed? It maybe that you can use the standard pet mouse enclosures sold in petshops unless you are going into large scale breeding.

Just watch out for the usual cages - mice are very small and very mobile at 3-4 weeks old! They'll get out of anything...

I'll be at Exeter and will have millions of mice!!

I tried them, but just couldn't get enough ventilation without replacing the lid with mesh - I shred myself on the stuff so try to avoid it!

i used a 40 gallon fish tank and it worked just fine. i felt it had kind of been wasted on keeping rats in it. but you cant win them all.
