The Congo's are also known as silverbacks and I always thought that was a gorilla . My only knowledge is only of the True African Grey and the Timneh.
Mine was a silverback.
Timnehs are smaller and a tad dowdy with lighter coloured beaks from memory.
Stu you know how much I love these birds, even though I lost mine about 15-16 years ago I still hesitate in getting another, one day perhaps. Very easy to get attached to them. Great pics good looking bird!
They are a great bird to keep, and as Stu said deserve a lot of commitment they crave contact and usually only bond with one person. Mine loved me and hated my ex-wife (clever bird ). I had a superb book on the Grey written by some German Guy it was the best book I ever found on them shame I cant remember what it was called senility setting in, long term memory loss. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
