Thanks Pete and Peaches Embarassed .

Scott, basically have been interested in reptiles and amphibians since I could walk, but was not allowed to keep any pets for some time. So spent every available bit of time looking for native herps. Luckily where I lived as a child was a good part of the country to look for them, southern heaths being my playground.

Finally was allowed to keep a few creatures and started with european tree frogs, fire salamanders, fbt`s, axolotyls, Italian wall lizards, anoles and geckoes, garter snakes and mediterranean tortoises and terrapins.

Have kept/bred various bits and pieces ever since , and after a brief spell of abstinance, I now keep various Morelia, dwarf retics, a few colubrids, geckoes, one or two Chams and a few frogs of various kinds. Also a few inverts.

My most recent fascination is the Poison frogs which seem to be becoming a bit of an addiction. My interest in Herps is wide ranging though and I like pretty much everyone of them.

They are W/C so I use caution. As long as I apply all the rules, ie no sudden movements around them or shoveing of warm blooded hands into their vivs after dark, everything goes smoothly. Touch wood I have only been tagged once and that was my fault.

The main danger time is removing them from their vivs . Once out though they are pretty calm. My routine now is to pop them in the bath while I clean their vivs. Which they really seem to visibly enjoy. Wink
