don't worry about it! the laptop that is compatible with my camera is currently not connecting to the internet so i'm having to use my other so no more pics atm unfortunately. well unless i faffed about connecting and transferring them but no doubt my other one would be working by then anyway so no point really!
yeah they have grown a lot from looking at those pictures but they're still tiny! well the male is anyway. relief, i see them both drinking everytime i spray now they're still not really eating though... i suspect the male may have eaten 2 crickets since i got him, either that or they escaped, which granted isn't a lot but at least its something. the female doesn't seem at all interested in her food though. there are locusts sat right in front of her munching on my umbrella plants just waiting to be eaten and she walks straight by them and the crickets, well they have just taken to hiding in the plant pots so i've decided to put em in the fridge n give her a chance to catch em before they hide! will just have to persist until they get hungry _________________ Jennifer |

i also have one of these Sambavas and i havnt seen him eat, however i know he does, think they are just a little shy, try fruit flies, mine loves them. In my opinion they are just a tad shy, they were kept in groups in the shop and to take them out of that environment and put them by them selves in a new viv must be a little daunting for them. Best of luck though and i can post up a picture of mine at some point if you like? may well even be from the same clutch. |

Hi I woudn't worry with crickets, they are a nightmare. Stick to hoppers and friut flies and the odd wax worm when the chams are bigger. |

they don't sell hoppers at my local shop... and he's been fed on crickets so far so i don't know if he'd like the change really? he's quite small so could i get them small enough for him or are they for when he's bigger? i've got to say, if i were to change to hoppers i most definately would not miss the crickets!!! they are horrible little things! lol. yeah i've been told i can give them worms when they're about 6 months old, think that'll make life somewhat easier.
when do panthers start shedding usually? or is it something they do from birth? was just wondering because my male is going a little white and i don't know if this is a colour change, if he has a little bit of calcium powder on him (which i don't think it is really) or if its the start of a shed? how often do the do this? _________________ Jennifer |

Hi
Hoppers are small locusts, so just google livefood and then look in any of the sites that sell them. I have used several, Rickeezee on here sells livefood, has his own site. Just look for locust and then get the small ones. As for going pale - did you know they go really pale at night when they sleep. and that is perfectly normal. Try not to worry too much about their eating, mine often go a day or two without and then pig themselves. They sometimes go off certain foods, s'pose they get bored with them like we would - again just try a bit of variety. Get rid of the crickets, they get everywhere, I won't have them in my house ever again!! |

i didn't know that but i'm sure that'll stop some future worry! lol. turns out it was the start of a shed as when i got home from uni i found white skin all over the bottom of the tank! it was quite exciting really its his first since i got him. how often do they do this? also, i read somewhere that they eat their skin after they've shed. is this true? or should i just take it out?
grr i'm starting to dislike the locusts now too having returned home to a rubber plant with a MASSIVE chunk missing from the leaf _________________ Jennifer |
