The shelves are continuous, spacers are there mainly to stop the shelf from sagging.... I'm currently building a rack, I'll post a pic up in a few ticks..

the boxes in the large rack are cb 70's rad Wink as adam correctly points out the shelfs are continuous and the spacers just slot in,if everything is measured correctly they just click into place.jase i maybe did go overboard on my screws but i didnt want any sagging to occur but im sure it would have been sturdy with a few less crews Laughing
