these are the most amazing animals, caught one around 16 years ago and ended up with about 10 babies, released them all right back where I found them..

now I understand the laws its all rather complicated but if I can get any these are at the very top of my list of things I want.

You are allowed to collect them from the wild and breed them yes? Usually find loads of them at my parents house whenever I look properly, just wish we had them in London Sad

this may be a stupid question but what makes them a lizard and not a snake?

I so used to know the answer to that when I was 15 years younger lol...

Now is it ok for me to capture a couple of them and breed them for myself no trade etc..?

I have mixed opinions about talking things from the wild however :s

what about these european slow worms where can we get hold of these and is that legal?

my brother finds loads of slowworms in his garden the kids love to hold them their such cool lizards he has also wondered if their was a law about removeing them from the wild and into captivity.
