Been keeping fish for longer than herps, but most of my knowledge is in tropical fw. Most of my efforts nowadays goes into breeding a number of plecos.

Cool Davo, which species are you breeding at the moment? I've bred 4 types of ancistrus, had spawnings from Hypancistrus zebra, bred stacks of whiptails and even spawned the butterfly pleco L052 Wink Would be interested in trying a new species if you can help.

I used to breed Siamese Fighters Betta Splendens, not difficult but could create some really beautiful colours and patterns Wink They were a pain in the arse having to separate the males, especially if you have hundreds! I actually gave up when a couple of my prized males were killed on the same day by their spouses during the act! Was a massive kick in the balls! Crying or Very sad

um i've kept many many many species, but only bred a couple of Ancistrus sp. (nicest probably the Ancistrus dolichopterus) and had a couple of spawn, (like the L52 you mentioned). I'm currently only keeping L001, L002, L007, L010a, L018, L083, L129, L134, L172a and have had to downsize the collection a bit, mainly because i'm focusing a couple of tanks on breeding Hypancistrus 'L260' and 'monte dourado', aswell as an attempt at the L172a, but they are a bit too juvenile yet. There are so many plecos, and many are very breedable (even though not necessarily easily). Other than a couple of species (e.g. Panaques) it can be pretty straight forward. If you want to try a new one, then pick a pleco you like and I'll be more than happy to help. If i had the room i'd try L128s. Or maybe one of the 2 L200 species, but it's pretty hard to aquire them at adult size, and take a very long time to grow.
