Fantastic! It's hard for people to appreciate how big they are when they can't see them in the flesh! All the best with the breeding-would love one of these guys in my collection!
Welcome to the forum also! |

Welcome to captivebred Wayne.
Rhinos are a species which caught my eye long ago. As has already been said, great looking set up. I wish you all the best with any breeding projects.
I would love to see some shots if possible of the inside of their set up and hear about how you keep them, their diet etc.
How many are in your group now and what`s the ratio? I am sure that by enlarging the group you have drastically improved your chances of breeding. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

I am sure that by enlarging the group you have drastically improved your chances of breeding. | please forgive me all i never said how i keep them, well its quite straight forward, they are very hardy lizards, the temp i keep them at in the day is around 85 background, hotspots getting up to 95 or more,i use 100w powersuns on them,3 in each cage, nightime heat is around 70s when the vivariums are turned off, ther diet consits on plant matter and fruit, bananas being there best.i use aspen as there bedding i dont like using sand i find it messy with them and ive known of eye problems with them using this type of beding.they have there own hide boxes and the females have there own brooding chambers at the bottoms of each viviarium, wher the male can be closed off from reaching them. |

Great to see this species on the forum, as well as being kept in such cracking set ups.
Thanks for sharing the info wayne.
Out of interest, how much of the diet is made up of fruit and what proportion is fibrous vegetation? Any protein or animal matter also? Forgive my ignorance!
Fingers crossed for you getting some results in the near future, and please be sure to keep us informed of any progress. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
