You get very attached to these furry critters, especially ones you can handle. |

Absolutely
Scooter (my black zebra T) lives beside my pillow so I can hear him when he's trotting around at night - always know when he's caught a cricket!
He's very sweet not feisty at all.
But each to their own, TBH I can't see the attraction in scorpions and roaches, but I adore frogs and toads (except cane toads - sorry I'm from New South Wales, allergic to Queenslanders )
What ever floats ya boat baby!

Couldn't agree more hon that's what makes this hobby such an interesting one, you might not want them but it's always good to see or hear about them

dunno too much about handling, b.t.s guidlines advise against it, one of my favourite t's for real value/size/ease of care was l.parahybana, near as big as t.blondi and that lovely pinkish tinge too,and they didnt mind being on dislay too much either _________________ we all have the spark of divinity within us, but are we responsible enough to use it? |

Due to the size their bite would no doubt hurt, I'm not sure how venomous they are though. Great to watch - takes no prisoners at feed time |
t.blondi like many spiders are individualistic, some can be a bit intolerant, others like the famale i used to have, are total softies, very forgiving,in most instances you are never going to get the same aggressive response that you will get with pterinochilus species,p.cambridgei/irminia, or h.lividum/minax, for example, not apart from obvious mechanical injury due to sheer fang size, wouldn't think the bite be as bad as the african/ asian species, as for cambridgei/irminia,i dont have info on the relative toxicity of those available, just know they aggressive lil "divots of earth"! _________________ we all have the spark of divinity within us, but are we responsible enough to use it? |
