well if you cannot buy, try to make. Just got hold of a load of "things" to make my own (hopefully). Got oak bark (shredded), oak leaves, top soil, potting compost, rotting wood, beech leaves and lots and lots of shredded herbs like dandelion to name but one.
I'll try mixing up a few trial batches and then leave them a while to settle down and start rotting a bit more before I put the first residents in there.

Have you noticed the bright yellow fungi that appears in the brand named "Bug bed" Bri?

I am afraid that I cannot shed any more light on it as I grabbed a few bags from the very same retail outlet that Rick is referring to when I visited him in the Summer. I have not used it as yet and it is still bagged up. A bright sulpur yellow fungi has grown in a few places the like of which I have never seen before.
