Yep I know Dave, they can suck the slime off the bichers so really need to re home it although not a problem at the moment as I had to take the bichir out as aro nearly ate him the other night...lol
Will grow the bichir on a bit more for now. _________________

what species of polypterus have you got?
i have 2 senegalus, a massive ornatipinnis and a juvenile endlecheri.
what species of plec is it, as i have found that some plecs are ok and some bully plecs. i have a foot long common plec who ignores everything.
stay clear of 'sharks' you know the labeo species, they are a nightmare with polypterus, i was forced to get rid of mine _________________ Tom

If it was more exotic I would keep it or be selling not giving..
He is fed on crickets, mealworms, shrimp, bloodworm and lance fish...basically anything goes in there and he eats it!
The bichir is a senegal.I have removed him from the aro's tank for now as the aro tried to eat him the other day! _________________

looks like you're getting on fine with the aro Stu, he's got that 'filled out look' now, young aro's look so anorexic but when they start to look like yours you know they are doing good just wait til he's a 20" + monster! |
