Great place to keep them Scott . Good bit of thinking on your part. How big is the room if you don`t mind me asking? Do they use the space available for flying?

You are on your way to an eco-syatem what with fruit bats, free range phelsumas and insects. Laughing

They tend to fly in circles, I have vivs & racks in the middle so it gives me 2 walkways and the bats fly up one and back down the other. There is a roosting branch at the far end too and if I disturb them while they are feeding they fly off to the opposite end of the room. This room is about 25ft by 14ft.

lol...yeah, trying to think of something else to add, I did want to grow ivy (can't think of the type) all over the ceiling, mixed in with branches attached to the ceiling, then add a few misters in the air, possibly adding anoles. Not sure if I have enough space, plus I don't want the bats to roost and crap everywhere Laughing

Ive never been sure about the whole free roaming thing, I mean Im sure its fine, just I would always be worried about them!

Do they spend most of thir time above the sink then? They are obviously very cute, just fascinates me the way they are kept Smile

Gary

they roost above the sink, so that's half their time, the rest is spent feeding and a mystery Laughing , I have some cameras being fitted this weekend, infra red, so hopefully I can see what they do when it's dark Laughing

Cheers Stu, yep they could fly straight out if I don't close the greenhouse door first Wink (yes it's now empty and tidy Laughing )
