The racks have so much ventillation that they dry out REALLY fast... _________________ Need a website? 8 years experience, GREAT rates for reptile keepers, currently designing several reptile websites. Also graphic design, hosting and marketing services.

have a look here www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk
at the minute i have corns that are small enough to be kept in faunariums, but have had to decide what to do when they grow. so i have decided on one of the racks they are selling, which comes complete with the boxes. i mean 15 ruddy vivs in a livingroom isny on really.
ventilation shouldnt be a problem, just block it off. but mind you do need some.
to be honest i wish i had seen the really useful racks before i bought the bigdug shelfs, they will take up less room.
the royals room did have a ventilation hole on the outside wall. which was taken of and covered over.
i have tried to have a look at the vision racks but canny find website, do you have a link?? _________________

Cheers Molurus,
Ive kept snakes in RUBs and pro racks and vivariums.
I want to use the visions as they are lightweight and moveable!

they are quite open, but no more open than any other rack. but what i would do if i were worried would be to block off the back and 2 sides with something, and just have the front open.
sheets of polystyrene maybe. _________________

The Vision racks do not have a great deal of ventilation. It is moulded into the levels and is far less than any other rack systems.
If you wanted to reduce it further, it would be dead easy to cover some of the holes on the levels with pretty much any flat material. Plastic, thin ply, sticky tape!
They are great racks although all but the boa rack have sold out at Eurorep.
The next container is due in 3- 4 weeks and pre-orders are being taken now. |
