The way I look at it is treat them when they need it and expect it to be costly.

Don't think it's a what you can afford issue Greame but more of a transference of risk which is exactly what insurance is
We all insure our vehicles our homes the contents of those houses (or we should ) against damage etc so should we all live in tents? I don't think so..
Insurance is a smart thing to do be it for an animal or your own life _________________ Paul

But is also the biggest con on the planet...
I got mugged of my phone once and the insurance company wouldn't let me claim saying I didn't pay enough due care and attention...even with a police statement!!! _________________ Regards James Stroud |

I agree in principle but with the more exotic species which we have a passion for I wonder if these insurance policies would pay out?
Perhaps if anyone has got good or indeed bad experiences with exotic insurance claims they could post them?
As I said earlier I tried to get insurance for Chondros etc and that company turned me down flat for anything other than theft and fire! _________________ Live for today as your dead for a long long time

why did they turn you down?? i had no problem insuring my more expensive morphs as long as i had proof of what they cost. i dont want paid out on death, that would be last thing on my mind, but i did want vets fees etc and the death thing was automatic with the more expensive. _________________
