10: 1 bleach soloution is whats recommended, thats 10 parts water to 1 part bleach, but obviously make sure its bleach free and odour free when you add it to the viv
I soak mine in a 10:1 bleach soloution over night in the bath, then rinse dry and rinse again, when its dry i add to the viv |

A chlorine based bleach like domestos will be fine, or you could use Milton. |

There are some quite strong disinfectants made for use with animals, would any of those be any good? I had chinchillas with ringworm and used something called Virkon to disinfect practically the whole house to stop it spreading to the other animals (or us!) and it kills a lot of bacteria/fungi etc
There's also one called Formula H, and Genie (as well as a few others I can't think of the name of)
My vet's said bleach in a 1:10 dilution is safe but I prefer using something made specifically for use with animals (and most of them don't need rinsing) |

yeh 10 per cent bleach solution... if its from outside you may want to soak it a while...but 24 hours is longer than you need.. and i think you want twice as much rinse time as soaking time..
For stuff from outside I soak in 10% bleach for a couple hours, then rinse under a tap for ten mins before leaving it to soak in clean water for an hour, rinse again then leave to soak in clean water for another hour.
If you cant smell bleach..or taste any its fine..i think its good to give the log/rock a lick to see.
if its from one of ur vivs to another i find scrubing it with a bleachy brush for a few minutes then rinsing as before but for only20 mins a time works perfectly fine.
Got anything nice your planning to clean up then? _________________ Beardies
