Jackie,
it is weird though working around the uk on various herp projects nothing surprises me anymore.
i have one site in north yorkshire where the tadpoles are already fully developed and free swimming.
mine are always very late for some unkown reason.

Some frogs near me are still only just spawning (and this is the 'sunny' south! ). Have seen loads of frogs and smooth newts around recently, but unfortunately not as many toads... _________________ Regards James Stroud |

The frog spawn in my pond hatched the other day, though the tadpoles are very small. They are still chewing away at their 'egg sacs ( )' _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos
