Hi all.
Firstly, this isnt a 'I have a tank, what can I put in it question'. well kind of, please read on.
I recently had my bedroom refit and fitted with brand new vivs for all my collection, all fully fitted with stats etc, cost a LOT of money.
My collection consists of
1 Adult Male Beardie
1 Sub Adult Female Sandfire Beardie
1 Sub Adult Female Blood Beardie
1 Subadult Male Waterdragon
1 Subadult Female Waterdragon
1 Subadult Arentinian Black & White Tegu
1 Male Anery Corn Snake Yearling
1 Female Anery Corn Snake Yearling
1 Male Miami Corn Snake Yearling
1 Female Miami Corn Snake Yearling
1 Male Young Royal Python
1 Female Young Royal Python
! Dart frog tank in progress (but no occupants of course).
I will post photos soon.
This lot fit into a 6ft arboreal viv, a LARGE triple corner stack and a normal triple stack, all are doing very well.
NOW, I have half a wall left, which I was going to put another triple stack into, but after carefuly thought I decided that there isnt three other species that I would like to keep and i'm not one for buying animals just to fill vivs, so I decided against the new stack.
However I think a nice glass tank with a beech unit under it and a beech hood would look lovely.
I am enjoying setting up my dartfrog tank, although it's hard work.
What I am asking here is a VERY broad question, but hopefully one that will spark a little interest.
Based on my current collection, which consists of a little bit of everything, do you guys have any suggestions as to what should go into the tank?
It has not been bought yet.
It will be approximately 4foot long x whatever depth is required.
NOT fish, we have tropical and marine tanks downstairs!
I am thinking more along the lines of some sort of communal viv if possible, possibly more along the lines of amphibians. I like newts and salamanders.
Now the tank needs to be primarily diurnal, but nocturnal species will be considered.
The occupants need to be active. This will be the last place of residence in my room, as it is literally the last bit of room.
Your advice and suggestions will simply help my thought process. Once I finally decide what I would like to do, every stage will be done PROPERLY to ensure the perfect setup is created.
So, although this is a very broad questions, do any of you have any suggestions? photo?
Many Thanks, I love this forum more and more each time I visit

As said on MSN Gary
Uromastyx are probably the highest contender for your herp tank!
will have to look at the shows for some
sure there will be a nice breeding pair, blue throat and red throat determine the sex, yet i cant remember which ones which think blue is male |

One of the most interesting vivs in my home is the one in which my anoles live! These are actually very underrated as a species in my opinion. They're incredibly entertaining and definitely diurnal. Their antics keep me entertained for hours and they're very pretty little things - particularly when they do their throat displays at each other. _________________ Regards, Tanya

Got to admit one of my favorite old set ups was with green anoles, brown anoles & house geckos (think it had a few other species but can't remember what). Don't think you can beat a well planted viv with anoles and perhaps even day geckos in. _________________
