Scott, maybe you could impose a post limit for this sort of thing? Say a minimum of 50 posts before you are allowed to advertise a different forum?

Confused must admit I have to agree with Dan here.I do think that the relaxed nature of the forum is taken for granted sometimes with people joining making a handfull of posts just to go on and plug a seperate forum.

I reckon so too, and no offence is meant to anyone, but this forum is the best that I know of for genuine sharing of knowledge and I think it is only fair to give a little before taking, so to speak.

A few posts (a set number is a very good idea Dan) and then perhaps some plugging or even advertising. Not straight in there with it however.

The replies were not aimed directly at you.. Cool So many people join here and go on to make a handfull of posts then just plug their own sites etc..as you say there is plenty of room for numerous forums and we have no objections to people linking to them as long as they put some decent input into this forum also. Very Happy

Yep, sorry. It is just you are the latest one in an ever growing line so i thought now would be a good time to speak up.
I think Scott takes a more than leanient (never can spell that word) approach to the way the forum and classifieds work, however there are too many people willing to take advantage of this.

guys, thanks for the comments and yes I kinda agree. I also know how hard it is to get a forum going Wink

If people post just links, then yes they will be deleted, let's see how people post and then we can delete links if they don't contribute overall Wink
