Selective breeding. It's how we got modern day dogs. Kind of like speeded up evolution. In the case of dogs it's given us many wonderful breeds like the Huskie, but also some gentic misfits, like the good olde British Bulldog (I love these dogs but they can have severe breathing problems).

If the people doing this know what they are doing, I don't see much of a problem. But if they are clueless, never fear as God will 'fudge!' there 'poo' up

The very fact that the majority of Bull dogs have to give birth now by caesarian section is enough for me to know in my mind that it is wrong. Natures way of ending a bad line is yet again "Interupted" by man and his surgical knife.
Yes I know about dog breeds. I used to breed lurchers from greyhounds mated to border collies. A domesticated species the dog, has been for a long time. So it`s only hybridising a breed not a species. I think that`s a bit different.

Depending on how closely you read into evolutionary theory, they could be different breeds of snakes.

I know they aren't, but it is one way of looking at it.

Know what you mean but the only way I think of breeds existing is in Domesticated species. I really do hope that this doesn`t happen with reptiles.

What about the breeding of morphs? They are natures rejects. In the wild they wouldn't last long due to the lack of camoflage, but due to our intervention they exist and thrive. Because of our curiosity.

Exactly! I don`t keep any morphs. Don`t like it at all. As nature intended is how I like my reps.

Me too. I don't know why we as humans think we can beat mother nature. Just my opinion. Very Happy
