Tip 1
I found feeding snakes in very small tubs and leaving them over night will often get them to feed. _________________

just make sure its ventilated!.. Also try getting the rat hot by defrosting then run it under hot tap for a while then offer straight away from tongs or use a hairdryer to heat it up and again offer immediately.Make sure the rodent isnt too small..and of at least equal girth of the snake..dont panic you have only had it a week so could still be settling in.When according to the shop did it last feed?..did they have any feeding records for it?. |

Just keep an eye on his weight..if he genuinely fed a week ago they can go for months but just keep a close on him and offer a feed every 5 days or so. |

..again do not worry too much about this..if it had fed as the shop said and you weighed him soon after getting him home its only natural that the weights will be different as the food is digested. |

I wrote a paper on feeding dsorders in snakes a few years ago, as part of a herpetology course. If you want me to i can forward it to you. A few people have used it as reference with various species with much succes.
