A quick question for you breeder guys
i have got rakes of rats growing on and they are doing well

is there a reason for this ? the females are well big and 12 weeks old now

could it have been due to pregnancy? _________________ Paul

yep first litters always tend to be smaller.
I have found litters of rats from anything between 3 and 19. What's even worse than a small litter is when a female decides to kill all her young sometimes just before they are able to wean. Haven't found any particular reason to this yet, one theory (not mine) is cold or a cold draught. _________________

My rats have had their first litters this weekend, between 10-14 each but the big difference here is that they are 5 months old!!
Oh I hope they dont kill them, that is so frustrating when that happens _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org |

my rats had one litter of 8 and ate all but twos heads off
now they both have 14 babys and a couple of helpers
noisey little buggers
the mice seem to have had a few dodgy runt babys that i had not seen and were kulled by them .
i hate mice i will find it easy culling them but the rats ...c02 is a must i think ..there so god dam cute _________________
