Day geckoes are great. The set ups they are kept in tend to be a lot sparser than the dart frog set ups though simply for the reason that the entire set up would have to be stripped everytime that eggs were layed to find them otherwise.
For the complete mini functional eco system, ie, Springtails eating any fungi, frogs eating springtails, frog poop feeding plants etc you simply cannot beat the dart frog set ups.
I have kept both Phelsuma and dendrobates and for both naturalistic display purposes, shear colour and beauty and fascinating breeding behaviour, you simply cannot beat the darts. Plus the chorus when they call when the lights come on or just after a spray is another great feature. Close yor eyes and you could be in Surinam, Venezuala, Panama , Columbia or Peru. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

*is laughing*
I love some of the things they do on Worth1000. Look for the frogs - the Kiwi cross is incredible. |

So any thoughts on what you fancy then Scott? Would you rather a species that you can keep in groups for example? If it`s a largeish viv , maybe a group of Leucomelas or P terribillus. Or if you want something a bit different, you could go for a group of auratus but go for one of the less frequently seen locales. Tincs and Azureus are great captives, ballsy and bright but are better off in pairs. If you like them maybe have two smaller set ups side by side rather than the one large one.
Lots of choices. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
