say that agian slowly Laughing Wink

Dale we could argue about UV an dart frogs all year long fact is you cant prove they do and I cant really prove they dont, all I can do is say I have never gone for a specific UV lighting with any of my frogs and my frogs are healthy and productive, the only reason my viv's have lighting is for the plants.

As for UV passing through glass some does and again like I said before in this thread it's enough to keep my plants THRIVING Very Happy

I am not arguing with you mj light is measured in Kelvin and it is that make your plant grow light that is not the uv most living things need uv to make vitamin D I think that proves it.

Lumens is the measurement of intensity and kelvin is the measurement of colour, it's a measurement nothing else Wink

Plants need UV in varying degrees for growth and phytosynthesis.

As for frogs needing it.. I;ve kept and bred various frogs with no suplimental lighting with NO issues.. on 2% of sunlight hits the forest floor where these frogs come from. We could go round in circles with this like a few other subjects we have differant views on Wink but I think it farer not to hijack jakes thread Wink
