no need as the lights are not inside the viv (and neither should they be Wink ).

do you put your uv light on your mesh or on the glass.

What are you working with tank wise? a converted fish tank?


I dont sit my lights right on the viv's (did for a little while but sorted it to the way I like it) they are raised about 25mm off the viv it self.

but they are above glass and not mesh.

Thought I'd add to this a bit. Paul...what kind of UVB penetration do you get through glass? For darts I know this is of less importance, but for some other species of 'herp' it could be a clincher on how you set up the viv.

I've no idea mate I havnt measured it Laughing my red broms stay red mostly so it's enough to do that.

uv does not that is does not penetrate glass and frogs do use uv.
