can brown anoles be housed with green ones?

I've seen them in community setups before, but I've never kept them together myself.

Aren't they the same thing? Confused I kept anoles a while back and they were able to turn themselves green to brown.

I think brown anoles are known to be slightly larger and more dominent than greens which could lead to stress in the green anoles and also minimize hunting / basking in the greens.

Why keep browns anyway? Confused

Brown anoles are gorgeoes! I would probably rather keep them over green anoles, the throat fan is superb, they're also predominantly from the carribean which is cooler Laughing

Green anoles - Anolis carolinensis, do change from green to brown yes, they're not the same species though. Brown anoles - Anolis sagrei. There are loads of anolis species though many of which are brown and green :], the commonly named 'Brown' and 'Green' are usually in the trade a lot more however.

Aren't brown anoles responsible for the decline in green anoles in parts of florida? or is that something else?! unsure now maybe its rubbish but i'm sure i've read that somewhere. Very Happy
