Zoo Med for some time now have produced a new style clamp lamp a dimmable version. Controlled by a dial knob on the power cord. I tried a few of these out and returned them.

They work fine and dim well via the knob. But you can not use a dimmer stat with them it simply will not work so they are good for manually dimming to adjust the heat or light intensity but will not work with a dimming stat. Just thought I would share that. I am sure they will be useful in certain situations but I am not sure as to what situations yet.
