That's the colour of young tiger oscars. They get more black and red as they get older. You don't usually see them that young in the shops. _________________

Our local shop has loads of youngsters in at this age and they are all bright red if anything I have seen them fade with age rather than get brighter..have been told on a fish forum that its a"wild" type.. _________________

The wilds looks so much better. I know they change a lot as they age, but in my opinion look fantastic, esp. if it keeps the spot near the tail. Nice, only see the red tiger and albino oscars. Also do you take your camera everywhere? |

It may well tern into a tiger-(result of line breeding wildy's) as it gets older.but it could be a wildy throw back if it stays as it is it's a wildy.I've posted some pictures of typical wildy's that are wild caught oscars and typical captive bred tiger oscars. |
