I think they're lovely, such a subtle beauty, lovely olive colouration. Would be lovely if you did breed them.
what size do they achieve as adult and what size viv do you keep them in? - Just been nosey lol |

Peaches: I´m getting some cb:s at Hamm this year. If you would like to wait for another 2-3 years I can hopefully supply you with babies.. _________________ *** Miqe ***

Yes I'm intending to breed them and my coachwhips, after all they are easy to look after, basic care is like most colubrids.
They average 5 / 6 ft and currently are in 3 ft vivs, though I may be moving the male soon as he could do with a larger one soon. Fairly active snakes, mine haven't been the best feeders so far but they are far from worrying. Just they don't eat as often as my kings or coachwhips. Having said that they were both probably WC and don't appear to be fussy, having taken mice, rats, chicks and hamsters so far. They aren't really nasty snakes either, yes my small female is defensive but she is calming. They do watch for movement more than say corns but if you are used to florida kings then these would be no problem.
Even the coachwhips are easy to keep, still not aggressive though much more visually orientated so you do have to read them more to avoid a bite until you've picked them up.

Thanks for that, I was thinking that viv size required maybe a bit bigger because they are more active - definately one species I will be keeping in mind for the future. |
