Thought I'd post some pics of my central american woods.

These are a semi-aquatic species - I keep them like any humid tropical species, with bark chips etc, but with a cat litter tray of water. My WC trio hail from the southern tip of Nicaragua. As you can see I've produced a few babies too.

Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks Paul Very Happy

About two or three times a week I feed them greens (dandelions, chicory, supermarket salads etc) and fruits (banana, melon, strawbs, blueberries, grapes, kiwi etc), with some turtle pellet food mixed in from time to time.

Also, once every couple of weeks, they get a bellyfull of red runners and/or morio worms - I feed these in a large tub of water so the roaches can not escape!

Cheers,
Mark.

Well done, they look great.I bred some puntularia earlier this year, same diet but with the addition of pinkies-they would charge down the tank to get to them!

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.

Well done - I nearly bought some punctularia last year, but was put off by them being just that big bigger and I was told that they are much more aquatic. However I've since read that they aren't.

How do you keep yours? Any pics of the adults and/or babies???

Mark.

I didnt find them to be as aquatic as i was led to believe.Unfortunately i bred them at work and have since sold the adults although i did give a hatchling to our viv maker who may be able to send some pics.Strawberries and pinkies seemed to be the favoured foods.
