If someone breeds a royal python with a slightly reduced pattern or a strange head pattern can they just call it any name they want and whack a massive price tag on it?

The reason I ask is because i see snakes like this;

http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=32&de=565072

and to me i doesnt look any different from my normals except from the $790 price tag!?

If anyone would care to explain it'd be good to hear.

there's been dozens of 'morphs' that didn't actually prove out to be genetic but also a good number that obviously have, on some of these unproven new 'morphs' you paying for the gamble. if it pays off you have a mutation that cost you a fraction of the price it would of been for a proven line.

You laugh, but think back 15 years. There weren't any of these codom morphs about. Nobody even thought to look for variations in 'normals', yet they were all there, even back then.

I bet Eric thought he was dreaming when he saw white snakes hatch out of his normals Wink

Not sure if it was Eric, but I read on one big breeders site - in the US - that the guy spent zillions on an Ivory from Africa and then found that if he had just 'dinked' with the two Yellow Bellies that he had in a rack, he'd have produced an Ivory. Rolling Eyes He was somewhat upset ...... Crying or Very sad

does look like either a VERY nice normal or some kind of morph to me.
Whether its genetic or not havent got a clue, but the yellow blushing down its spine is stunning.

However...spending what, £375 on it? Nahh, its not THAT nice Laughing
