yes i was under the impression that what i was buying was a spotted tree monitor and when i seen it i thort it was a timor i email the guy several times to confirm that it is a spotted tree monitor and not the timor and he said that it was the spotted tree monitor so that's why i was confused as to was it was.... _________________ Word ta big bird!! |

maybe it is wise to use the Latin name next time in your correspondention. Using 'normal' names will most of the time led to misunderstandings. _________________

Love these discussions, so much to learn. Whatever has been bought it is gorgeous, just wish that I had much more room - and money to branch ( sorry about that.... ) out into Monitors, they are fantastic reps. Enjoy your new pet.

From the species description on Berndts site http://www.monitorlizards.de/ I would say its timorensis.
V.timorensis cream ocelli and some speckles on the ventral surface.
V. auffenbergi blue/grey ocelli and plain cream ventral surface.
Cheers

Hi.
I keep Auffenbergi. It doesn't look like mine. I'd also say Timorensis. |
