Thankyou guys, how very interesting. So it really is a hognose Surprised The face threw me as it looks nothing like the Hoggies that I keep and breed. Well, learn something new each day Cool Next question has to be, Is anyone breeding them ?

Thanks again,
Sue

they are a madagascan hognose species, so are only distantly related to the more common american hognose. they are gorgeous, there are 3 species, the speckled, blonde and giant madagascan hognoses, they are the only venomous snakes in madagascar. they are not very commonly kept in the UK, i know of one shop selling all species and another that sells speckled, all of them are LTC i think.

Barry Summerhayes of hognose.co.uk breeds this species i think.

They are gorgeous species, especially the giant.

here is a good website for all things hognosey http://hognose.com (different to hognose.co.uk)
