i have a 2 spare fishtanks that currently aren't doing anything, and i was wondering whether i could turn either of them into naturalistic enclosures for an amphibian species, preferably a frog of some kind.

they are both 24 x 12 inches in area. but the one pictured below is 12 inches high and the other is 15 or 18 (i cannot remember which).

I was wanting to do a natural background with a small pond and the rest terrestrial, but i am new to this, can anyone give me any advice on how to start lol.

Also what species could i go for. I like dartfrogs, but they all seem a bit expensive to me, are there any other small terrestrial or semi aquatic frogs i could maintain i them. Or would phelsuma work (yes i know they are not amphibians, but i like them to )

Errmm what else did i want to ask..... oh yes i am sure i read somewhere about somebody using an aquarium heater to heat terrestrial frog vivs, can this be done, and how, as i have 2 of them as well lol

sorry for all the questions, but it just occurred to me, that these fish tanks could be useful, after looking at some pics on dendroboard.com
