Need some info on setups and care etc for berber skinks, friends of mine have a pair and they are worried that the advice they were given might not be correct, also I will be babysitting them when they go on holiday so I need to know what i'm doing.
Would also be grateful for care info and setup info on Tribs (croc skinks) as I REALLY fancy getting some but what to know what i'm doing in advance _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I just found one that looks good, only really gives basic care and setup info though, but it will do for now. _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Ik keep both Tribolonotus gracilis and Tribolonotus novaeguineae so if you've got any question just ask and don't be afraid when you get enormous responses
Ehm about the berber skinks, i think i have an article about the care for these species on my computer somewhere but i have to look. _________________ Proud owner of

Thanks jordi, I'll let you know when we eventually get some, I want a pair at the very least of the Red Eye Variety which I think is Tribolonotus novaeguineae, I think they are really sweet
I've been looking about for Berber stuff today as well. If it's in your computer and your is anything like mine, you'll never find it _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I keep a pair of Berbers, and they are always buried underneath the sand. They only come out and bask in the morning until midday and then they will go back and hide under the hides / bury into the sand again. So I only see them for a few hours and that's it.
Their diet is including mealworms, crickets, butterworms and silkworms. I put some greens in and they nibbles now and again but not daily. Day time temp is about 85-97F and the basking area is around 100F. I leave heatmat on at night but no other lights.
Not too sure what else you need to know. They are pretty hardy to me. |

The species with the red eye ring is T.gracilis Tribolonotus novaeguineae doesn't have that red eye ring. But if you look here in the Lizards - General forum you can find several topics of mine with photo's of both species.
with kind greetings

Thanks for that info Felix most helpful, especially if that is normal behaviour for a Berber Forgot to ask Felix, do they require UVA\UVB and at what sort of strength? I use mercury vapour bulbs for my beardies and swear by them now
Thanks Jordi, I knew I'd get something muddled up I saw one of your threads earlier some nice skinks you've got I'll go and nose out the others _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
