There common name is Tesselated gecko and there natural range is most of Australia mainly living in arid areas under stones,logs etc.

Hang on i got a bit mixed up with this thread, i started the thread about Strophurus Williamsi, there common name is spiny tailed gecko and the ones i have are the Southern locale, the pic with the small gecko next to the penny is a tesselated gecko. I suppose they are quite expensive because there still isnt that many about, but they are gaining popularity so price will drop as more become available.
