Well, I read about the terrapin. I don't have the get up to care for this baby the proper way. Will be going shopping. Found an aquarium get up with two doors that will open. It called "the turtle paradise" I'm also asking to adopt another small terrapin. So this one will not be alone. The agency sais that it is legal as long as it is not sold or given away other than for education. What ever that mean. I'm adopting and got the paper work which makes it legal, they say. They are an approved organization.
I still would like to meet these people that makes those stupid, stupid laws.
My only problem now is that I can't get any information about the needs and special care of such a small baby. They even told me that it will be needing special food since it is too small to eat the regular turtle food. Pet shops and specialist shop don't sell anything because it is illegal.
Maybe I'll put some turtle food, crickets and worms all in a bleeder and push the button.

Chantal, have a look at these two links. There is loads of information on captive care of Reeves turtles there. One is Dutch, the other German. Click on the American flag for the English version of the Dutch one and click on the Union Jack flag for the English version of the German one.
