It is not that difficult to breed house crickets or tropical banded crickets. The former are prone to viruses that can wipe out colonies just as you think everything is going really well, while the later are small as adults and are very jumpy.
For me the silent/quiet/steppe cricket Gryllus assimilis is the best to use as a live food. But I find it more difficult to breed. Anybody out there doing well with it ? Could you please explain how you keep them different to other crickets ? |
