Damp vermiculite in a plastic box with a small hole in the top. It has always worked with my snakes. |

I think eco-earth is made from coir ? Please somebody correct me if I am wrong. Coir is coconut husk which is great for growing plants, but according to De Vosjoli Rhacodactylus eggs die in it, if left there for a couple of days. I don't know why that would be, maybe it doesn't let enough air get to the eggs ? |

the reason plants do so well is it allows for air exchange around the root system so I doubt it's lack of air to the eggs _________________ Paul

My crestie eggs all hatch out in it and rarely fail - I incubate at room temperature too. I know there are some types that have a high salt content which was though to affect eggs.
Yep, its coconut husk. _________________ Cheers Angi
