well this was a while back and I'm wary of posting but i suppose i should...

OK so... a while ago i emailed a guy - Bret Webber who had been advertising web design etc for good prices, i asked him to make me a website so that i could advertise and sell my hatchling reptiles, he initially wanted payment of a live reptile, of course i was not too keen on this idea as payment for the site as it just seemed a little strange. We continued conversing etc over msn and emails, all was fine was very genuine, i sent my money to him via postal order, he cashed in and my site never got made, he blocked me on msn, and stopped replying to my emails. I got a friend of mine on msn to add him and invite me to the conversation, he was obviously surprised & unblocked me... when i demanded my money back or my site some 12 weeks later, he disappeared off the face of the planet, i emailed some admins on another forum and they supposedly had a word with him, but i have never heard back.

his name is Bret Webber, he is located in Suffolk. (i wont put his actual street address which i have...)

and as i said he ripped me off, and he has done similar to a friend of mine, but they actually ended up with a site, i got nothing at all, and i was very annoyed as you can imagine.

just thought it would be relevant to post this here so that you don't end up getting ripped off like I.

anyways keep an eye out. Scum like that don't deserve your money.

There are some right twats around...fortunately there are still plenty of nice people.

I'm tempted, but i don't know exactly what to do if I'm honest, i mean I'm only 15...

should i go to the police or something (p.s my mum knows whats happened and she ain't got a clue what to do)

cos it isn't a lot of money, only £50 but still... being ripped off is never fun, so what do ya think, police? or what? lol

bearing in mind this was march, but browsing all my saved emails i found his home address and that got me thinking.

we are nipping into the police station tomorrow and having a word to see what can be done etc

and yea lol, I'm pretty glad i kept the emails, unfortunately i have no proof i sent him the money, since i deleted all my msn conversations without giving it proper thought
