Tortoise identification

HI
My local and excellent pet shop has some tortoises.
They where told by there supplier that the ones with the nail varnish(diff colours to go with microchips) where Hermanns and the ones without where russians.

I said the ones with the varnish are russians and they have probably got mixed up. So we counted toes and all of them have 4 toes.
The bigger non nail varnished do look differenet to what I say is defo russians as I ahve had kept them in teh past.

Phew now to the question.
Other than russians are there any tortoises available, like hermanns etc that have 4 toes.

iam no tort expert but arnt spur thighed similar looking to hermans?

have a a read of a tortoise book and basically if four toes thay are russians.

sorry but i wasnt saying there not Russians but just giving you another option. like i said iam no expert.

Smile seems we have booth learnt something new today. i will tell my gf as she recently got some torts in her pet shop and the breeder said they were spur thighed but the manager of the shop said they were hermans so now she can check i would imagine they are spur thighed if the breeder says they are. Laughing
