Anyone else heard about this cumbrian outbreak? It was in BBC wildlife this week... scary stuff and taken rather too lightly in my opinion

I'm working in herps in cumbria and never heard of this!!!!!!!

chytridmycosis is in short a fungal disease that it ripping through amphibian populations world wide Crying or Very sad It's already nearly wiped out many of the Atelopus toad speices Sad

Its VERY contagious Crying or Very sad

Its right up there with habitat destruction, increased UV levels and the pet trade in the top threats to amphibians these days.

Slippery, the article was in BBC wildlife, I can send you a copy of it or something if you want?
