A quick question for the more experienced out there regarding lighting for my baby Hermann's tortoise Timmy.
He has a Repti Glo 5.0 UVB tube light which the box says supplies 30% UVA and 5% UVB, this as far as I am aware should take care of his UV requirements.
My question regards his basking lamp, I am using an ordinary 60 watt spotlight at one end of his habitat giving him a basking area, I was wondering if this spotlight is ample or if he requires something more specialist. _________________ Kevin.

As long as he is getting the uva and uvb from the tube then I wouldn't have thought it mattered what typ of bulb you used for his heating. _________________
