Has anyone any tips on feeding hatchlings? I've had 6 out of 6 eggs hatch and can only seem to get mouse tails down them. Any ideas?

How are you getting the mouse tails down them? Assist/force feeding or are they taking them on their own?

What have you tried so far? Just so people don't start making irrelevant suggestion Smile

I'm having to force them down til the tail is nearly 3/4 down, then they do the rest.

Confused I'm sure they will be fine mate..I really wouldn't be force feeding yet..but thats just my opinion..have you weighed them at birth and then checked their weights again?

The heaviest was 13grams and the smallest 9grams. The smallest is a bit of a worry - she has lost 1/2 a gram. I do have a pregnant mouse on standby!

I think you are worrying to much..don't forget they may lose a bit as when they are born they are full of yolk..

I think you should try Lizard Maker as Greybands are known to be poor starters.

Good luck,
