Thanks for all the comments guys and yes, watching her strike feed is probably one of the best things about her

You're lucky with the feeding, I had to forcefeed my male for almost 12 months before he would eat. Also used to have to force feed 3 or 4 at my local reptile shop a few years back as they wouldn't feed for a few months either (always seems to be the males that wouldn't feed).
Great photos too! |
I've heard of several people having trouble getting these guys to feed but my wild caught female strike-fed straight away.
Just luck I suppose. Never had a single problem in feeding any of my venomous yet, hope that continues _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

that's good to hear, I hope that carries on for you as force feeding venomous certainly gets the blood pumping and is about the most likely time to get bit. they lead you into a false sense of security and then suddenly try to sink their fangs in. I've force feed Westerns, Horned vipers and loads of Hairy bush vipers in the past although now days I think I'd be a bit cautious _________________

Yeah right mate. Force feeding isn't something I would like to attempt myself, rather I'd try and seek proffessional help!
Fingers crossed I wont have to. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Hey mate I was up your way on saturday, went to DPS, got a nice selection of venomous he tells me hes stopping that side of things though, he has a nice albino cobra.
I picked up a costal carpet python that he had for sale. _________________ Theres nothing right on the left side of my head and nothing left on the right |

oh right that was you I thought my ears were burning saturday!!
yeah dave doesn't sell too much venomous and it just takes up valuable space for the more popular stuff.
I saw that carpet Python. Very nice choice mate, very pretty snake
Did you see the dwarf caimans he's got in that 6' herptek?
